Welcome to Birdbox & Robin.

Here we have a birdbox cam setup thats waiting for guests. We also look at the local birds that pop down for a bit to eat.

All started due to the interest in our very own local Robin. Enjoy.

Live Feed Highlights

Color-Changing Bills: During the breeding season, males have yellow bills with blue bases, and females have yellow bills with pink bases. In winter, their bills turn completely dark.

Young robins (juveniles) do not have the famous red breast, but are instead covered in brown, speckled feathers to camouflage from predators. They are born brown and do not grow their red feathers until after their first molt. Young robins are also born with cryptochrome in their eyes, allowing them to potentially see the Earth's magnetic field for navigation.
